Or any other oven. Please recommend sizes - thanks!
I am using my Sun Oven for the first time today and find the 9" round roaster to be too small.
Also, should I purchase a side shape over a tall shaped pot, or does it matter?
Thanks.

Greetings Linda,
Thank you for writing in with your question. And it is a good one at that.
Many people have the same question. "What pots will fit into which solar ovens?"
The Global Sun Oven can actually fit several despite its narrow interior.
My favorite one to use in the Sun Oven is the mid-size black enamel turkey roaster. This pan is almost double the capacity of the round pot.
The round pot can fit a whole chicken, but we can cook two whole chickens in the mid-size roaster.
If you have two standard round pots you can double stack those on the leveling tray and they will cook most foods fine, even doubled up.
The 5 quart casserole covered dish will also fit well inside of the Sun Oven.
In regards to the shape or depth of a pot, it really does not make that much of a difference.
Some people like deeper pots, such as the bean pot, and others like wider and shallower, such as the 5 quart casserole.
Our pots and pans page does indicate which pots and pans will fit into the various commercial cookers that we carry on our site as well as which ones they do not fit in. Solar Cooker Pots and Pans
I hope this helps.
