So I have to tell you about the leftover fried chicken in the Hot Pot.... Yes, it was just a re-heat, but oh MY, it tasted like just out of the fryer!!!!! You know how microwaving leftover fried chicken kinda leaves something to be desired, and the oven can dry it out (as well as heating up the indoors!)
Well, the Solar Hot Pot is seriously the best way of heating leftover fried chicken I have ever found!!!! I am guessing the rays hitting the tops of the crispy coating, plus the moisture that is trapped by the glass “greenhouse,” is a perfect combo for crispy and juicy.
Picnics—even if you can use a grill, now there’s no need to mess with it—just grab a Solar Hot Pot and some cold fried chicken and go! (Maybe some potato salad, pickles, chocolate cake, too..... Okay, now my mouth is watering, and I even just finished lunch a little while ago. LOL)
We did three very large pieces set in the bottom, and they were HOT in about 2 hours (10:45 to 12:45). I forgot to get a picture, but it was YUMMY, crunchy, and amazing.

You have discovered the same thing I did years ago. Why use the microwave when you can just think ahead a little bit and use the solar cookers to re-heat most all of your leftovers.
I do this almost every day while out on job sites and even at home.
Even if I don't know what I am going to eat on a particular day I will set out my cookers just so that they are hot and ready for whatever I wish to cook or re-heat.
Makes sense, easy to do and it uses no electricity nor heats up the house and no micro-waves either.
Thanks for sharing.
