Solar cooked chicken noodle soup

by Cookie
(Sanford, NC)

I tried my old crock pot recipe in my GSO and wanted to share it with you solar cats.
Unfortunately I don't have any photos due to the fact that it was gone too quickly. Lol;)

I started with water, chicken breasts without bone, and three bullion cubes. I let that simmer in the oven for a few hours, checking and turning. I chopped up some potatoes into cubes and some celery and carrots. I let that sit for a few more hours and I picked apart the chicken with a fork, they shredded too easy and they where super tender.

I threw in some garden rotini and let it sit till the noodles where soft, added salt and pepper, and BAM! It was gone! And I didn't run up my electric bill with my crock pot! I really am happy that I started to adventure into this solar oven thing. I really think that I am getting the hang of it.

Xoxo
