Never miss an opportunity to share solar cooking

I was talking to a lady today who had just recently acquired a Global Sun Oven and a Hot Pot panel reflector cooker.
She mentioned that she wouldn't be using them for a few days inasmuch as she was going to New Mexico for a vacation on the week of the 4th of July.
I asked her why she would pass up a perfect opportunity like that to use her cookers!
I told her that I take mine everywhere I go and I cook where ever I happen to be.
Today, I will be at the auto mechanic shop for what they estimate will be a 4 hour repair. So of course, I will set my Hot pot and my Sun Oven up in an out of the way place for a few hours and cook a delicious smelling Chicken Tomatillo Chili for dinner and I will bake a Cranberry Carrot cake for dessert which will be way too much for just my husband and I to eat. I expect the mechanics at the shop won't mind taking half of it to share.
I got a new phone upgrade 2 days ago at Best Buy and shared a loaf of yellow squash bread (which is delicious and the recipe is here on this site). I had pulled the bread out of my oven right before I got there so it was still warm and fragrant. They loved the bread, and I love the phone!
I can think of no better way to spread the good habit of solar cooking than to cook wherever I land and share the bounty. People are always amazed That food really does "cook" with the sun. So if you are the lucky and proud owner of a Solar Cooker or 2, be sure to share. This planet needs more of us!!!!
