My Thermal cooker (haybox)

by Cindy Williams
(Northern Arizona)

I use a recycled Omaha Steaks styrofoam cooler. I insulate with reflective insulation and surround the pot with a recycled cheap blanket used by moving companies to wrap valuable items in ie; furniture, mirrors, etc. to protect while traveling in a moving truck. I can remove blanket periodically and wash and hang out to dry. Replace in thermal cooker, reshape bottom of blanket to fit pot snuggly. Wrap blanket across top of pot as well. Place a fitted peice of reflective insulation and replace styrofaom cooler lid. Make sure it snaps down tight. Keeps foods extremely hot and steamy.
