Good weather...FINALLY!

I made my rubbed whole chicken again, and this time the weather was sunny the whole time. I put the chicken in the solar oven around 1 PM and removed it around 5:30. The meat was falling off the bone, and the carrots were tender, but not disintegrating. I call it a success!

Over the next couple of weeks, I’m hoping to experiment with some different recipes from a new cookbook I borrowed from the library: The Healthy Gluten-Free Diet by Abigail R. Gehring. There are lots of recipes that I’m eager to try; they sound so mouth-watering, that I’m considering purchasing the cookbook! I am also hoping to try some different bread recipes in the solar cooker. Hopefully, the sunny weather will be available!

Sorry! I just now saw your post asking for pictures. I did actually take a couple of pictures of the oven in action, but they did not download properly to my computer and now they are gone. I will try again and ask hubby for help! I think the phone is too new and the old computer does not recognize the photo program.
