So I started this 'homesteading' thing back before the 2012 chaos with the Mayan calendar junk. My significant other decided it would be a good idea to start stocking up with food and other stuff in case of some disaster. Since a tornado blew through my backyard a few years back, I figured It couldn't hurt to start. So, after hoarding quite a lot of non perishable food, I decided to start cooking all my 'Prep Food' in my solar oven to see how it would taste and get the family acquainted with the experience as well as food that we don't normally have on our table. When I started my Prep, I decided that I should stock up on high protein, high carb, very little ingredient food. Things like 'Just add water' are perfect for this. So I threw in a "just add water loaf of bread" into my oven the other day and it turned out perfect! Awesome to have with spaghetti!
Didn't get a picture this time but I made sure to center it so it didn't run off the rack this time! So, there was an improvement.
Great thing about the sun oven is that I CANT BURN anything!!! With me being absent minded, its pretty easy for me to forget that things in the oven are cooking. So the Sun oven helps me in that respect.
Talk to ya soon Cats!!

Great insight on preparedness and on starting now rather than later.
Prepping, using and testing are best done now rather than when it is too late.
Thanks for the advice.
