Awaiting Arrival of My Cantinawest Global Sun Oven!!

I recently found the Cantinawest website while searching for schematics on building my own sun oven. I am a Veteran and am looking to 'go COMPLETELY green'. I worked in the service utilizing power generation systems and have a vast knowledge of energy creation and consumption. I decided a while back that I was going to do everything that I could to get 'off the grid'. I dislike the fact that we as a population have become so dependent on other people for services that could essentially be free with the proper knowledge and application. To tell you the truth, it concerns me how much we rely on them due to the fact that when push comes to shove, no one will be watching your six but you and yours. With that being said, this sun oven will be a baby step in becoming truly independent, and if you are reading this, you are more than likely within the same mind as myself.

The Global Sun oven will be one of many of the steps to my gaining absolute 'free energy' freedom. I intend to use this as much as possible and post on this site for your reading pleasure. I more than likely will try a hand at producing a small amount of power with the sun oven system that I am excited about sharing. As well as many recipes that I intend to try. Pass or fail, I will post my adventures on this forum in hopes that you will follow them and learn as I learn. I hope that the things that I write will inspire you to follow my lead and share your love of true freedom!

...IF I had known about solar cooking 25 years ago when I first got into the army, I definitely would have been using it whenever and where ever I could have, these kinds of things fascinate me as well, always have.
